Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lenny Jack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keima Matsumoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matsumoto has chosen I.V. by X-Japan as his entrance music. Keima Matsumoto looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lenny Jack! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Keima Matsumoto! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jack looking to score a takedown here. Matsumoto is defending well but Jack drives through and ends up in Matsumoto's guard. Matsumoto escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jack gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Matsumoto had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jack defends it easily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jack stands up from guard. Let's bang! A decent looking cross lands there for Jack. Jack closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jack lands in his opponent's guard. Jack stopping the sweep attempt from Matsumoto. Matsumoto has his foot on Jack's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jack works his way back into a safe position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jack trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Matsumoto keeping moving, preventing Jack from controlling successfully. Jack looking to pass the guard. Jack got a little sloppy there for a moment and Matsumoto has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jack has managed to get both his arms back between Matsumoto's legs - danger averted. Matsumoto looking to control.
Jack throws a strike but Matsumoto rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Jack looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Matsumoto drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Jack manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Matsumoto has Jack in his guard. Matsumoto looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Matsumoto looking for subs off his back but Jack has passed one foot through into half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Jack trying to control from half guard but Matsumoto is working away. Matsumoto trying to control from the bottom.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Matsumoto is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jack pulls his head out easily. Matsumoto looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jack wants to lay and pray for a moment but Matsumoto keeps working. Matsumoto throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Well, if Jack is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Jack gets to his feet - back to striking we go! A kick lands to the mid section there for Jack. Jack throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Matsumoto tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jack is in Matsumoto's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jack tries to stand but Matsumoto is controlling from the bottom. Matsumoto looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Jack gets to his feet - Matsumoto follows without any prompting. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Some wild striking there from Jack.
Jack scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jack working away. Jack tries to advance to mount but can't. Matsumoto wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Lenny Jack will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Jack defends it easily. Jack throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Jack postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Jack pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Matsumoto is keeping the position for now. Jack wants to control from the top but Matsumoto keeps moving. Matsumoto is breathing heavily. Jack got a little sloppy there for a moment and Matsumoto has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jack has managed to get both his arms back between Matsumoto's legs - danger averted.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Jack is keen to just control but Matsumoto is a slippery customer. Matsumoto is looking to control Jack's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Matsumoto avoid being mounted? Matsumoto actively working from the bottom here. Jack wants to lay and pray for a moment but Matsumoto keeps working. Jack is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Matsumoto defends it well. Jack wants to pass to mount but Matsumoto is defending the position. Lenny Jack overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Nice strikes from Jack there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Matsumoto is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The fighters are battling for position here. Matsumoto manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Matsumoto keeping full guard, as Jack tries to pass. Jack trying to control but Matsumoto is working from the bottom. Jack is looking to work some ground and pound but Matsumoto has wrist control. Jack wants to control from the top but Matsumoto keeps moving. Matsumoto throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Matsumoto is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jack defends well. Jack tries to stand but Matsumoto is controlling from the bottom. Matsumoto has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jack can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Jack stands up and waves to Matsumoto to follow him. Lenny Jack is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jack scores with a nice right hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Lenny Jack will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Jack fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Jack misses with a takedown attempt and Matsumoto counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Matsumoto. Matsumoto changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Jack fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Jack defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Matsumoto. Jack shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Matsumoto as he jumps to the side. Jack fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lenny Jack. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jack works Matsumoto's body with a nice hook. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Jack trying to control the position from guard on top but Matsumoto is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Matsumoto is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Matsumoto is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Matsumoto is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jack defends well. Jack tries to free his leg and advance position but Matsumoto is retaining full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jack is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Matsumoto keeping moving, preventing Jack from controlling successfully. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Matsumoto working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jack doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jack manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Jack is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Lenny Jack wasn't doing enough on the ground. Jack scores with a kick to the midsection. Jack shoots in looking for a takedown. Matsumoto tries to sprawl out of it but Jack keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Matsumoto manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Jack fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Matsumoto changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jack tries to avoid it but Matsumoto manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jack to the ground. Jack escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jack fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Matsumoto to the ground. Jack is now in Matsumoto's guard. Jack trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Matsumoto wants to get back to his feet but Jack is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Jack trying to control the position from guard on top but Matsumoto is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jack knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Matsumoto on the ground. Jack is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Matsumoto is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Jack with a flurry of punches that miss. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Matsumoto is looking for a triangle but Jack pushes his legs off easily.
Keima Matsumoto has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Lenny Jack is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Matsumoto is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jack is aware though and is defending well.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Lenny Jack. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jack, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
