Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ichabod Klopfenstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takeshi Yuudai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Klopfenstein comes into the arena with Monster blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ichabod Klopfenstein !
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Takeshi Yuudai!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Steve Erwin and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klopfenstein fails in his attempt to clinch.

Yuudai feints and as Klopfenstein raises his hands in defense, Yuudai changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Yuudai wants to pass the guard but Klopfenstein is keeping the position.
Klopfenstein not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Klopfenstein keeping full guard, as Yuudai tries to pass.
Klopfenstein is adopting a defensive guard.
Klopfenstein trying to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Ichabod Klopfenstein just wasn't active enough.
Klopfenstein misses with a low kick.
Klopfenstein finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Yuudai throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Some bone on bone action there as Klopfenstein checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Yuudai avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Klopfenstein throws the kick towards the body but Yuudai avoids it.
Yuudai takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Yuudai shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Klopfenstein wants to improve his position but Yuudai is controlling well.

Yuudai is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Klopfenstein on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Klopfenstein tries to get out of the position.
Yuudai prevents Klopfenstein from standing back up.

Yuudai is looking for a kimura but Klopfenstein is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Yuudai to get the leverage.

Yuudai slips a nice elbow through Klopfenstein 's hands, connecting with Klopfenstein 's forehead.

Yuudai looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Yuudai not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Klopfenstein is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Klopfenstein manages to get to full guard.
Yuudai throwing strikes but missing.
Klopfenstein looking to hit a scissor sweep but Yuudai is one step ahead there.

Klopfenstein wants to sweep here but Yuudai controlling him for the moment.
Yuudai trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Yuudai is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Yuudai throws a big right hand that misses.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Klopfenstein holds on and takes a little breather.
Yuudai stands and throws Klopfenstein 's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Yuudai landing strikes.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Klopfenstein manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Takeshi Yuudai dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Klopfenstein attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Klopfenstein looking to score a takedown here. Yuudai is defending well but Klopfenstein drives through and ends up in Yuudai's guard.
Yuudai is pulling down on Klopfenstein 's head. It's preventing any offense from Klopfenstein , at least for the moment.
Klopfenstein trying to control the position from guard on top but Yuudai is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Yuudai manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Klopfenstein defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Yuudai.

Yuudai is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Klopfenstein has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Yuudai jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Klopfenstein manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Klopfenstein pushes Yuudai away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Yuudai gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Klopfenstein gets back to half guard.
Klopfenstein tries to roll over but Yuudai keeps him under control.

Yuudai seems to be working for a kimura but Klopfenstein defends the submission attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Klopfenstein tries to hold on but Yuudai pushes him away.
Yuudai fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Klopfenstein bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Yuudai not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Yuudai has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Yuudai tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Yuudai manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Klopfenstein manages to get himself to full guard.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Yuudai lands a couple of elbows.
Yuudai stands and throws Klopfenstein 's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Yuudai scores with a couple of short elbows.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Yuudai in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Klopfenstein avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Yuudai.
Takeshi Yuudai has got the better of the ground game so far.

Yuudai is working to tighten is grip on Klopfenstein 's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Klopfenstein has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Yuudai is really squeezing tight and eventually Klopfenstein passes out! Yuudai breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Takeshi Yuudai!
