Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pratipar Rapcheep! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Everaldo Evans! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rapcheep throws a sloppy head kick and Evans moves out of range easily. Rapcheep throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Rapcheep is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Evans. Evans throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Rapcheep throws a sloppy head kick and Evans counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Evans. Evans trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Evans drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Rapcheep dives on top into guard. Evans wants to sweep here but Rapcheep controlling him for the moment. Evans throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Rapcheep escapes and throws Evans's legs to the side, diving into side control! A lull in the action here as Rapcheep stalls from top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Evans is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Rapcheep off and has taken his back! Evans patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Evans is looking for a choke. Rapcheep gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Rapcheep manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard. Evans is looking to sinch up a triangle. Rapcheep throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Evans's body to avoid the submission. Evans has instead reached around Rapcheep's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Evans arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
