Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Stien (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Westin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ben Stien! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Paul Westin! The judges for this bout are , and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Westin tries for a takedown but Stien sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Stien closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Westin is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Stien off and has taken his back! Stien defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stien wants to control his opponent's hands but Westin gets his hands free. Stien manages to reverse the position and now he's in Westin's guard. Nice work there by Stien.
Stien won't allow Westin to sweep him here. Stien stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Westin swivels though and keeps the full guard. Westin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stien can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This has been an exciting period of action! Stien looking to pass the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Westin looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Westin keeping moving, preventing Stien from controlling successfully. Stien has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Westin looking for a guillotine here but Stien defends easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Stien slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Stien wants to control from the top but Westin keeps moving.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Ben Stien just wasn't active enough. Stien shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Westin's guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Westin can do anything to dispel that myth. Westin keeping moving, preventing Stien from controlling successfully. Westin doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Stien drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Westin manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Stien has Westin in his guard. Stien looking for a guillotine here but Westin defends easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Westin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Westin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Stien is trying to keep Westin in close.
Stien could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Stien is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Stien is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Ben Stien dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Westin throws a leg kick that misses. Stien drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Stien trying to control but Westin is working from the bottom. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Westin is on top in guard.
Westin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Westin gets to his feet - Stien follows without any prompting. Stien fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Westin checks it well. Stien throws a head kick but Westin moves out of range.
Ben Stien is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Stien tries to clinch up but Westin circles away and keeps his distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Westin misses with a takedown attempt - Stien sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Stien shoots in and bounces Westin off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Stien slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Westin dodges the ground and pound from Stien. Westin regains half guard there - taking advantage of Stien's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Westin gets back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stien preventing the sweep. Westin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stien gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Stien has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Westin is proving hard to escape from. Stien knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Westin on the ground. Westin trying to control the position.
Stien postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Westin is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Stien, into his guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Stien is working an open guard so Westin takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice takedown defense from Stien. No joy for Westin on that attempt. Stien shoots in and gets a takedown into Westin's guard. Westin will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Stien loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Westin looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Stien pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Westin is keeping the position for now. Stien gets to his feet - Westin follows without any prompting. Stien dives in and scores a takedown into Westin's guard.

Westin is breathing heavily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Stien is looking to stand up but Westin won't let him. Westin keeping moving, preventing Stien from controlling successfully. Stien looking to sit in guard and control but Westin gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Westin advances position into side control! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ben Stien dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Stien displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Westin. Ben Stien has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Westin. Stien fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Westin sprawls well initially but Stien persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Stien not landing any meaningful shots this time. Westin takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stien trying to control from half guard but Westin is working away. Ben Stien overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Stien wants to pass the guard but Westin is defending well. Stien is working hard here to advance position. Stien is keen to just control but Westin is a slippery customer.

Stien got a little sloppy there for a moment and Westin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stien has managed to get both his arms back between Westin's legs - danger averted. Stien trying to control but Westin is working from the bottom.

Westin is looking to improve his position but Stien isn't that keen on the idea. Stien trying to control but he's not successful this time. Stien tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Stien can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Westin is looking to escape.
And that's the end of the fight! Ben Stien showed his dominance in that final round. Well Stien has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
