Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Walt Nightman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sero Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Nightman might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Night Man. Kim has chosen CANON in D Korean Version (with gayageum) as his entrance music. Sero Kim has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sero Kim! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Skip Squint and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice body kick from Nightman. Nightman throws a jab but it's blocked by Kim. Nightman lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Nightman throws a left and a right that both miss
and Kim counters with a series of strikes. Nightman will be more careful next time no doubt. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nightman misses with a looping right. Nightman takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kim moves out of range of the strikes. Nightman dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Kim throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Nightman. Nightman is looking to clinch but Kim is avoiding it.
Nightman throws a sloppy head kick and Kim moves out of range easily. Nightman takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Kim tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Walt Nightman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kim tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Nightman lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Nightman is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Kim is defending well for now. Kim wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. A short uppercut from Nightman. Nightman tries to work over Kim's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kim tries a low kick but Nightman avoids it. Nightman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kim manages to avoid it. Nightman throws an overhand right that lands on Kim's shoulder, as Kim tries to avoid the shot. Nightman fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kim looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Nightman fakes the leg kick and cracks Kim in the body. Nightman with a jab. This has been an exciting period of action! Nightman scores with a jab to the body. Good standup being displayed there by Nightman as he connects with a hook. Nightman misses with a hook. Kim ducked under it nicely. Nightman connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kim. Kim circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Kim is breathing heavily. Nightman scores with a jab to the jaw. Nightman lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Nightman swings and misses with a hook to the body.

A swing and a miss from Nightman. Kim on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Nightman misses the shot to the body. Kim moves out of range as Nightman strikes. Kim throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Nightman counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Kim throws a wild body kick that Nightman sees coming a mile off. A clash of legs there as Nightman blocks the low kick. Nightman thuds his right hand into Kim's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Nightman tries a head kick but it misses.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Kim in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Kim looks for the body kick but Nightman saw that one coming. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nightman throws a series of punches but Kim avoids them all with ease. Nightman throws a leg kick that is checked and Kim counters with a stiff right hand. Kim wants to clinch up but Nightman keeps it at a distance. Nightman lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Nightman then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kim slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Kim uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nightman.

Nightman connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Kim's hands. Nightman tries to clinch up but Kim circles away and keeps his distance. Kim misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nightman lands a nice hook to Kim's body. Kim takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Nightman looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Nightman scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Nightman tests Kim's chin there with a solid looking shot. Nightman misses with a body shot.
Nightman closes the distance and pushes Kim back into the cage. Kim takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Nightman tries to throw a body punch but Kim avoids it by throwing Nightman back against the cage. Nightman gets through Kim's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nightman is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Kim is keeping busy. A nice glancing elbow lands by Nightman.
