PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Berger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amir Halilov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eric Berger looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Amir Halilov! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Konstantin Menshow and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Halilov. Berger could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Halilov closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Halilov moves into full mount! Berger won't be happy about that! Halilov controlling from the full mount. Berger knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Halilov on the ground. Halilov has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Berger is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Amir Halilov!
