Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Amir Dunham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Russel Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dunham's entrance music is Omar Khairat - Alexandria . A fine choice. Kane comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Song 2- Blur kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Russel Kane has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dunham is defended easily by Kane.
Russel Kane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dunham slips under a jab.
Dunham throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kane's waist but Kane gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dunham off to one side.
Kane gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Dunham counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kane's guard now.
Dunham has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Dunham has gone for a leg lock! Kane slips out almost immediately though and dives into Dunham's guard.

Kane has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dunham can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dunham is working Kane over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Dunham is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Dunham postures up and lands a big shot to Kane's brow.

Dunham drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kane manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Dunham has Kane in his guard.
Dunham is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kane stands and throws Dunham's legs to the side, diving into side control.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
