Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nakoa Kai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nate Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kai comes to the cage accompanied by Corruption. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz drives through and clinches with Kai against the cage.
Kai is trying to break the clinch but Diaz has him pressed against the cage.
Kai can't break the clinch.
Diaz pulls Kai into guard.
Diaz looking to control.
Diaz throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Kai stops Diaz from standing up.
Kai looking to pass the guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Diaz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kai pinned against the cage. Kai gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kai postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Diaz to stand up.
Kai misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kai closes the distance and clinches up with Diaz, looking for a takedown. Kai pushes Diaz against the cage but Diaz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kai fails to land with a series of punches.
Diaz gets the takedown into side control.
Kai pushes Diaz away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Diaz gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Kai is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Kai slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Kai is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Diaz drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Diaz jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Kai manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Diaz manages to get himself to full guard.

Diaz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kai can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Kai is in all sorts of trouble here.
Diaz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kai. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

That was a close round but I would say that Nakoa Kai will probably get the nod.

Diaz misses with a kick to the body.
Kai lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Diaz crumples to the floor! Kai milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
