Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Samson Savea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jed Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Walker is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: God Demise. Samson Savea has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Samson Savea!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jed Walker!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Radbod Blank and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savea fails with a takedown attempt.
Walker misses with a lunging right hand

and Savea decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Walker's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Savea thows a big elbow that misses.
Savea has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Savea won't allow Walker to sweep him here.

Walker is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Walker blocks an elbow strike from Savea.
Savea is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Walker pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Walker has had enough of the clinch but Savea keeps him there for the moment.

Savea decides to pull guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Savea is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Walker throws and elbow that misses. Savea uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Walker's guard. Nice move by Savea!
Savea won't allow Walker to get back to his feet.
Walker tries to land a sweep but no joy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Savea controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Walker utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Walker is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Walker has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Savea can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Walker avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Savea postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Savea thows a big elbow that misses.
Walker looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Savea is looking to work some ground and pound but Walker has wrist control.
Walker wants to get back to his feet but Savea is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Walker keeping moving, preventing Savea from controlling successfully.

Savea stands up from Walker's guard - Savea perhaps looking for a knockout.

Walker closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Savea did well to prevent Walker getting side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Savea is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Savea desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Savea trying to control here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Walker seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Savea holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Savea is trying to maintain the position but Walker is very close to passing his half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Samson Savea wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Savea slips a straight right by Walker.
Walker throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Walker fails in his attempt to clinch.
Nice uppercut lands for Walker. That snapped Savea's head back.
Walker misses with a hook. Savea ducked under it nicely.
No joy there for Walker, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nice jab there from Walker.
Savea throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Savea fails in his attempt to clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Walker throws a right hand that Savea ducks under and follows up with a left that Savea also avoids with ease.
Walker takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Savea is breathing heavily.

Walker throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Savea was covering up waiting for the punch and Walker finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Savea pushes Walker off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Walker doesn't manage to clinch there - Savea circles away.
A lazy left from Walker finds it's target.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Savea shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Walker pinned against the cage. Walker gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Samson Savea. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Walker jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jed Walker will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Walker cracks Savea with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Savea looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Walker finish him?


Savea is rocked!
Savea tries to close the distance and clinch up but Walker swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Walker has Savea up against the cage in a clinch.
Walker prevents Savea from breaking the clinch.

Walker pulls guard effortlessly.
Savea in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Savea postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Walker not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Walker preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Walker is on top in guard.
Walker tries to free his leg and advance position but Savea is retaining full guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Savea wants to stand but Walker is controlling the position.
Walker chips away with some ground and pound.

Savea looking for a guillotine here but Walker defends easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Savea can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Walker controls the pace.
Walker trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Walker wants to stand but Savea is controlling his posture from full guard.
Walker scoring with punches to the head and body.
Savea on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Savea tries to get out of the position.
Walker throws and elbow that misses. Savea uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Walker's guard. Nice move by Savea!

Walker controls Savea momentarily but Savea frees himself.
Walker manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Savea tries to reverse the position but Walker maintains control.

Walker has control of Savea's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Savea regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Walker thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Walker content just to control the position here.
Walker looking to control but Savea is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Walker jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Savea is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Savea and Walker has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee asks Walker politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Walker prefers to stall for the moment though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jed Walker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Walker darts in and clinches Savea up against the cage.
Savea fails to pull guard.

Walker breaks from the clinch.
Savea shoots for a takedown but Walker saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Walker closes the distance and clinches.

Savea gets control of Walker's arms and successfully pulls guard. Savea will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Walker decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Savea, up you get!
Walker lands with a cross.
Samson Savea is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Savea scores with a three punch combo!

Walker drops Savea with a beautiful combination! Savea stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Walker is looking for the KO!
Oh Savea is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Walker lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Savea at a distance.
Savea stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Walker.

Walker gets a clinch.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Walker manages to break the clinch.
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Walker moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Savea! Walker continues to tee off on Savea, landing with a left and a right! Walker connects with a right hand that leaves Savea sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Walker!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jed Walker!
