Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Troy Landry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyle Gass!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gass misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Landry.
Landry loads up on a big right hand but Gass slips the punch.
Landry looking to land some kicks to the body here.
A jab from Landry finds it's way through Gass's defenses.
Gass wants to clinch up but Landry keeps it at a distance.
Landry jabs Gass to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Gass will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Gass ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Landry lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Gass backs up against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Landry cracks Gass with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Landry lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Gass uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Landry.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gass is defended easily by Landry.
Troy Landry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyle Gass.
Gass takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Landry connects with a body shot.
Gass doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Landry displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gass.
Landry scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

A cross from Landry lands.
Landry misses with a jab, cross combination.
Gass throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gass throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Gass swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Landry will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Landry lands with a hook. Gass tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A jab from Landry does it's job there.
Landry ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Troy Landry dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Gass throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
No joy there for Landry, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Landry lands with a shot to the body.
The fighters circling - Gass throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Landry connects with a nice looking jab.
Gass shoots in looking for a takedown. Landry tries to sprawl out of it but Gass keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Landry manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Landry missing with a left hand there. Gass was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Landry throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gass.
Gass looks to land a left hand but Landry moved out of range nicely.

Landry misses with a hook.
Gass is trying desperately to land a takedown but Landry is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Gass.
Gass pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Landry on the wrong end of a nice hook.

and Gass counters with an outside leg kick.
Landry connects with a good right hand that stumbles Gass. Gass circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Landry looks to land a combination but Gass avoids it well.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Landry here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Landry fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Gass on the side of the head.
Gass showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Landry.
Troy Landry is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Landry connects with a body shot.
The fighters circling - Landry throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Gass avoids a punch combination nicely.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Gass might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Landry has got the better of the exchanges.

Gass rushes Landry and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Landry takes a knee right on the jaw!
Landry breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Gass throws a hook to the side of Landry's head but Landry sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Landry lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Landry tries to move into range but Gass moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Gass missing with a left hand there. Landry was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Gass takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Landry misses with a few strikes there.
Nice uppercut lands for Landry. That snapped Gass's head back.
Troy Landry is winning the standup battle so far.
Landry looks to score with a jab to the body but Gass is just out of range.
Landry throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Landry bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Landry lands with a right that hurts Gass. Gass looks to clinch but Landry throws a short knee that drops Gass. This one is all over!
