Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sebastian Marx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raimo Niemi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sebastian Marx! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Raimo Niemi! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Steve Montenegro and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marx shoots in for a takedown but Niemi shows good takedown defense. Marx tries for a takedown but Niemi sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Horrible takedown by Marx or perhaps it was just good defense by Niemi which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sebastian Marx. That's going to take a lot out of him. Marx will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Niemi swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Niemi throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Marx thumps Niemi with a low kick. Marx throws a sloppy head kick and Niemi moves out of range easily. Niemi rushes Marx and presses him up against the cage. Marx tries to pull guard but Niemi won't allow it.
Niemi has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Niemi tries to circle away but Marx has him pinned against the cage. Marx blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marx jumps guard but Niemi stands there with Marx around his waist. Marx gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Niemi gets control of Marx's arms and successfully pulls guard. Niemi will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Niemi controls Marx momentarily but Marx frees himself. Marx throws a big right hand that misses. Marx preventing the sweep. Niemi throws his legs up looking for a submission but Marx uses it to pass to side control.
Marx laying and praying for a moment but Niemi takes advantage and regains half guard. Marx seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Niemi does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Niemi trying to control from the bottom.
Niemi looks gassed! Niemi looks like he's trying to stand up.
Marx trying to control the action but Niemi is working from the bottom. Marx tries to stand and escape but Niemi is controlling the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Marx shoots in looking for a takedown but Niemi manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Marx's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Niemi tries a head kick but it misses.
Marx shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Niemi but Niemi pushes him off and we're back to square one. Niemi manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Marx on his heels. He'll look to pass Marx's guard now, I'm sure. Niemi avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Niemi stopping the sweep attempt from Marx. Marx keeping moving, preventing Niemi from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Marx is on top in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Raimo Niemi will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Marx doesn't manage to clinch there - Niemi circles away.
Marx fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Niemi rushes Marx and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Niemi can't get the takedown.
Marx is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Marx can't get the takedown.
Niemi gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Marx regains guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Marx keeping moving, preventing Niemi from controlling successfully. Marx striking off his back but it's not causing Niemi any problems. Marx wants to sweep here but Niemi controlling him for the moment. Niemi won't allow Marx to get back to his feet. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Marx keeping full guard, as Niemi tries to pass. Raimo Niemi has got the better of the ground game so far. Marx looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Niemi puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Niemi is thwarting Marx's attempts to control the position. Niemi missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Marx trying to control here.
Marx is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Niemi scores with a couple of nice shots. Marx wants to sweep but Niemi has passed to side control! Niemi stands up and beckons Marx to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Niemi is trying hard to land a takedown here. Marx sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Marx lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Marx lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Marx thuds a left hand into Niemi's body. Marx uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Niemi. Marx tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Marx tries to clinch but Niemi is having none of it. Marx scores with a jab to the body. Marx throws a one two combo.

Marx jabs Niemi to the body, keeping him at a distance. Marx throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Niemi's waist but Niemi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Marx off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sebastian Marx. That's going to take a lot out of him. Niemi misses with a series of wild punches.
Niemi gets in close and instigates a clinch. Marx stops a takedown attempt from Niemi.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A battle for position here, against the cage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Marx drops down looking for an ankle pick but Niemi pulls his leg out and moves away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Sebastian Marx will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Niemi not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Marx is looking to sweep but instead, Niemi has passed into half guard.

Niemi fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Niemi landing punches. Niemi dominating with strikes here. Marx wants to hold on but Niemi pushes him away. Niemi blocks Marx's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Niemi breaks from Marx's wrist control and lands an elbow. Marx tries to hold on but Niemi postures up. Niemi working away from the top, dropping strikes. Niemi lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Niemi with the ground and pound from mount. Niemi working the ground and pound effectively.
Niemi avoids the attempt from Marx to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Niemi takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Niemi prevents Marx from getting the reversal. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Niemi looking to control but Marx is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Niemi has control of Marx's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Marx regains control of the situation pretty easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Raimo Niemi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Niemi has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
