PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dick Inc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William McGregor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Inc comes into the arena with Bad Moon Rising blaring out of the sound system. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Donald Grub and James Ackerman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Inc staying out of range there.
McGregor misses with a few strikes there.
McGregor pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Inc keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Inc gets a double leg takedown into McGregor's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
McGregor keeping moving, preventing Inc from controlling successfully.
Inc trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
McGregor wants to get back to his feet but Inc is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

McGregor looking for subs off his back but Inc has passed one foot through into half guard.
McGregor is looking to escape.

Inc seems to be looking for submissions.

McGregor is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Inc pulls his head out easily.
Inc looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

McGregor trying to control from the bottom.
Inc passes to side control.
Inc advances to mount.
McGregor really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Inc. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Inc takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Inc seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down McGregor for as long as he can get away with.
Inc can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as McGregor is looking to escape.

Inc wants to finish this one by submission but McGregor is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Inc.
McGregor is trying to stand but he's just given Inc his back.

McGregor defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Inc's arms.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McGregor is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Can McGregor hold on?! Inc is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Inc tries to keep control of the position but McGregor is staying busy.
You can see the frustration on McGregor's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Inc biding his time, looking for the opening.

Inc is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. McGregor has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Inc has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! McGregor taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Inc doesn't care though - he's delighted!
