The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Jones darts in and clinches Matcheski up against the cage.

Jones shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Matcheski sprawls well. Matcheski wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jones gets slowly back to his feet.

Matcheski tries to move into range but Jones moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Matcheski escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jones shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Matcheski sprawls well. Matcheski wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jones gets slowly back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Chance Matcheski.
Jones tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jones lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Jones.
Matcheski takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Jones shoots in for a double leg but Matcheski sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Matcheski is trying to control the position but Jones postures up.

Jones has taken the fight to the clinch.

Jones has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Matcheski uses from the top position.
Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Matcheski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jones drops down looking for an ankle pick but Matcheski pulls his leg out and moves away.

Jones connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Jones pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Matcheski back to the cage. Jones follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Jones keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Matcheski's head.
Matcheski has momentary wrist control but Jones slips an elbow through the middle.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Donk. Jones catches Matcheski right on the button with a cross.
Jones leaves Matcheski with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Matcheski takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Jones fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Matcheski avoids it really well and circles away.

Jones is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Jones shoots for a takedown but Matcheski saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Matcheski manages to break the clinch.
Jones tries to bum rush Matcheski with a series of wild strikes but Matcheski uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Jones counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Jones.

Matcheski working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jones doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jones manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Matcheski enables Jones to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Matcheski manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Matcheski manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jones manages to get himself to full guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Matcheski accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Jamal Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
