The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Damien Edna and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Renegade closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Saine is trying to control Renegade's posture but Renegade avoids it.
Renegade working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Renegade happy to just control the position for now.
Renegade wants to control but Saine is keeping him busy.

Saine throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Renegade shoots in and drives through. Saine sprawls well.

Renegade is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Saine's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Saine's back!

Renegade really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Saine.
Renegade is working for a rear naked choke. Saine is not defending it well and Renegade has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Saine refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Saine's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
