Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gabe Thurgood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Melton Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Melton Jr has chosen Lil Wayne - Drop The World ft. Eminem as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melton Jr blocks the body kick.
Melton Jr displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Thurgood throws out the jab.
Thurgood dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Melton Jr. That did some damage!
Melton Jr swings for the body but Thurgood moves out of range.
Melton Jr throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Melton Jr dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Melton Jr takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Thurgood is defended easily by Melton Jr.

Thurgood throws a hook to the side of Melton Jr's head but Melton Jr sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Thurgood is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Melton Jr can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
