Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronald Chinner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ronald Chinner!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Reed Andrews and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Young scores a takedown into full mount!
Chinner is in all sorts of trouble here.
Young lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Young fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Chinner is looking to improve his position but Young isn't that keen on the idea.
Young tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Chinner won't allow Young to pass to mount.

Chinner is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Young scores with a couple of nice shots.
Chinner is looking for a sweep. Young is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Young content to control rather than advance.
Young seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Chinner for as long as he can get away with.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jimmy Young just wasn't active enough.
Chinner tries to close the distance and clinch but Young swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Young has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Young slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Young, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
