Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Oakley Bark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Llueve Baxter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bark comes to the ring accompanied by shut em down. Llueve Baxter has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Oakley Bark!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Llueve Baxter!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Vladimir Khabensky and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bark shoots for a takedown but Baxter saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Bark steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Baxter.
Baxter throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Bark counters with a nice uppercut.
Baxter swings for the body but Bark moves out of range.
Baxter works Bark's body with a nice hook.
Bark shoots in but Baxter avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Llueve Baxter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Baxter slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Bark takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Baxter misses with a looping right.
Baxter misses with an uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bark moves forwards but Baxter connects with a nice, crisp jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Baxter steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bark.
Baxter throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Bark looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Baxter!
Bark won't let Baxter get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Baxter is trying to stand.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Bark is landing with some decent strikes but Baxter is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Bark trying to control but Baxter is having none of it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Bark misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Baxter really wants to buck Bark off and get back to his feet.
Bark looking to finish Baxter with some ground and pound. This is bad for Baxter!
Baxter is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
BOOM! Bark connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Bark is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Baxter can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Baxter holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Bark tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Baxter really wants to buck Bark off and get back to his feet.
Bark looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Bark has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Baxter's face.
Bark lands with some strikes.

Baxter is trying to stand up.

Bark is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Baxter has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Bark looking to ground and pound but Baxter is blocking nicely.
Bark throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
You get the feeling that Baxter really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Bark will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Bark misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bark breaks from Baxter's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Bark with a couple of short strikes.
Bark punching from mount but Baxter doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Baxter is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Bark wants to control the pace but Baxter is squirming around nicely.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bark throwing strikes here but Baxter is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Bark fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Baxter trying desperately to get to his feet.

Bark is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Baxter to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Baxter shrugs it off.

Bark with shots to the head and body - Baxter looks very uncomfortable down there.

Baxter is trying to get to the ropes to help him get back to his feet.
Bark lands a heavy elbow.

Baxter squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Bark working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Baxter turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Bark off and cradles Baxter's limp body as Bark celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 5:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Oakley Bark!
Oakley Bark is the new welterweight champion!
During a confident post fight interview, Oakley Bark thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
