Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nemean Athos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Robertson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Athos comes to the cage accompanied by Thundercats. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nemean Athos! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, George Robertson! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Steve Erwin and Bruno Hogan.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Athos connects with a right hand. Robertson shakes it off.
Nice combo by Athos! Oh, that's hurt him - Robertson falls to the canvas and Athos follows him into side control.

Robertson is rocked! We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Athos wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Robertson, who protects the arm well. Robertson sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Robertson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Athos connects with a nice short shot to Robertson's temple. Robertson regains full guard. Nicely done. Athos trying to control but Robertson is working from the bottom.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Robertson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Athos postures up.
Athos trying to control the position from guard on top but Robertson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Robertson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Athos looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Robertson uses his free foot to push down on Athos's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Athos. Robertson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Athos is looking to escape. Athos tries to reverse the position but Robertson maintains control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Robertson wants to control the pace but Athos is squirming around nicely. Robertson misses with a head shot. Athos slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Athos wants to control but Robertson is keeping busy.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Robertson wants to control from the top but Athos keeps moving. Athos wants to get back to his feet but Robertson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Robertson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Robertson trying to control the position from guard on top but Athos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Athos looking to hit a scissor sweep but Robertson is one step ahead there. Athos trying to control the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

No joy there for Robertson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Athos's corner calls for a 1-2. Athos obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Nice defenses there by Athos. Robertson scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Robertson on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Athos connects with a nice looking jab.
A nice combination there by Athos.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Athos drops his shoulder and cracks Robertson with a huge uppercut! Robertson goes down! Can Athos finish him?
Robertson is still in real trouble! Can Athos finish him? Athos thows a big elbow that misses. Athos is pushing down on Robertson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Robertson is fighting to maintain full guard but Athos has managed to sneak the leg through.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Robertson taking some punishment here, with Athos in his half guard. Athos lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Robertson! More strikes land and this one is all over! Athos jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nemean Athos! Nemean Athos retains his welterweight title!
