Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Keith Schafer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Larry Shaw!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Chris Edwards and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schafer slips a jab and a cross from Shaw.
Schafer slaps away a takedown attempt from Shaw, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Schafer lands with a cross.
Shaw tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Shaw shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Schafer but Schafer pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Schafer misses with a head kick.
Schafer moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Schafer cracks Shaw with an open hand slap.
Schafer bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Schafer swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Shaw.
Shaw looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Schafer uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Shaw shoots in looking for a takedown. Schafer tries to sprawl out of it but Shaw keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Schafer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Schafer feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Shaw's calf.

Schafer connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Schafer stalks Shaw and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Shaw's face. Shaw staggers backwards, shaken.
Shaw shoots for a takedown but Schafer saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Schafer clinches up with Shaw and pushes him back against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Shaw takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Schafer scores with a crisp jab that stopped Shaw in his tracks.

Schafer is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Good leg kick by Schafer there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Shaw has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Schafer finds it's way round the side to connect with Shaw's head.

Shaw has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Schafer is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Shaw tries to score a body lock takedown but Schafer shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Shaw is trying desperately to land a takedown but Schafer is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Shaw.

Shaw has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Shaw there as he acknowledges the shot.
Shaw tries to score a power double leg takedown but Schafer sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Shaw somewhat.
Schafer feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Shaws jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Shaw has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.

The crowd cheers as Schafer lands an impressive looking overhand right. Shaw doesn't seem phased though.

Well Schafer has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
