Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Malchik Spalchik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Artem Blinov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blinov has chosen Cult Of Personality - Living Colour as his entrance music. Blinov has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Malchik Spalchik could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Artem Blinov's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Malchik Spalchik! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Artem Blinov! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spalchik throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Blinov tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Spalchik is in Blinov's guard. Blinov wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Blinov keeping moving, preventing Spalchik from controlling successfully. Spalchik tries to free his leg and advance position but Blinov is retaining full guard. Spalchik sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Blinov's guard. Blinov looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Spalchik trying to pass the guard but Blinov defending well. Spalchik is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Blinov! Spalchik is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Blinov to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Blinov shrugs it off. Spalchik working for a guillotine from mount but Blinov is in no mood to give up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spalchik takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Spalchik avoids the attempt from Blinov to control. Spalchik could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Spalchik goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Blinov is on top in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Blinov trying to control the action but Spalchik is working from the bottom. Spalchik is trying to improve his position. Spalchik sneaks back into half guard. Blinov is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Spalchik is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Blinov's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Blinov's back!

Blinov advances position into side control! Spalchik is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Blinov's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Spalchik slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Spalchik is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Spalchik working for a triangle but Blinov defends it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Malchik Spalchik dominated that round. The cut man is working on Artem Blinov's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Blinov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Blinov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Spalchik can't escape the position.
Spalchik is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Spalchik tries to reverse the position but Blinov maintains control. Spalchik is working hard here to advance position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Malchik Spalchik overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spalchik is trying to reverse the position but instead Blinov has taken his back - oops! Spalchik tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Spalchik tries to improve his position but instead Blinov has taken his back! Blinov looking for the choke but no joy. Spalchik tries to break free.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Spalchik staying busy and making it hard for Blinov to control. Spalchik trying to control the position but Blinov manages to sink in the hooks. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Spalchik is in bad spot here.

Well, with Blinov on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Spalchik is tapping out... Can he escape the position? Spalchik trying to control the action but Blinov just sinks the hooks in.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Spalchik trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Spalchik rolls, trying to escape but Blinov keeps control of the position.
Blinov is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Spalchik knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Spalchik for a finish. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Spalchik tries to escape the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Blinov is cranking Spalchik's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Spalchik! He's tightened the choke and Spalchik is tapping out!
