Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Eryk Bartnik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eryk Bartnik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bobby Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Bruno Hogan and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bartnik fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jackson sprawls well initially but Bartnik persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Bartnik looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Bartnik is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Jackson has managed to free his arm - good work.
Bartnik lands strikes from half guard.
Bartnik wants to control but Jackson is keeping him busy.
Jackson wants to control but Bartnik is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Bartnik has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bartnik seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jackson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Bartnik wants to free his trapped foot but Jackson is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Bartnik wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jackson keeps working.

Jackson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bartnik can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Bartnik is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jackson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jackson has escaped and now he's on top!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bartnik looking for a guillotine here but Jackson defends easily.

Bartnik is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jackson is aware though and is defending well.

Bartnik bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jackson's guard.

Bartnik postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jackson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Bartnik not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Jackson is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Bartnik stands up and waves to Jackson to follow him.
Bartnik avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Jackson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Jackson looks gassed!

Jackson decides to stand back up.

Bartnik feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Bartnik connects with a couple of short punches.

Bartnik lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Bartnik trying to control but Jackson is working from the bottom.
Jackson wants to sweep here but Bartnik controlling him for the moment.
Bartnik will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Bartnik trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Bartnik avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Bartnik gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bartnik shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jackson but Jackson pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Bartnik clinches up with Jackson and pushes him back against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eryk Bartnik dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Jackson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bartnik avoids it really well and circles away.

Bartnik shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jackson napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Bartnik lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Jackson down.
Jackson can't do much from the bottom here.
Eryk Bartnik overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Jackson is trying to improve his position.
Jackson is breathing heavily.

Bartnik is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jackson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Bartnik tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Bartnik swings around for an armbar but Jackson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Bartnik's guard.

Bartnik is looking for a triangle but Jackson pushes his legs off easily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bartnik wants to sweep but no luck.

Bartnik looking for a triangle here. Jackson is fighting it but it looks tight! Bartnik pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Jackson is tapping out - this one is all over!
