Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Cartman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ali Newman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Newman has chosen Truth Is as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eric Cartman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ali Newman! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cartman fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Newman fails to land the takedown. Cartman circles away from the clinch attempt.
Newman drives through and clinches with Cartman against the cage.
Newman tries to stall but Cartman uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Cartman fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Newman goes for a takedown in the clinch but Cartman prevents it.
Newman blocking some punches.
Cartman throws a head punch that misses. Cartman lands with a right to the head. Cartman throws a punch but it's blocked by Newman. Cartman prevents the takedown attempt.
Eric Cartman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ali Newman. Cartman lands a right hand. Newman tries for a takedown but Cartman manages to get underhooks.
Cartman lands on the inside with an uppercut. Newman drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Cartman gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Newman changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Cartman fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Cartman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Newman tries to avoid it but Cartman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Newman to the ground. Newman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Newman. Cartman clinches up with Newman and pushes him back against the cage. Cartman lands on the inside with an uppercut. Newman takes an elbow to the forehead.
It looks like Ali Newman has been cut. Newman misses with a hook to the ribs.
Cartman working some nice short punches in the clinch. Newman tries for a takedown. No joy.
Newman is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Cartman gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Newman tries for a takedown. No joy.
Newman looks gassed! Cartman misses with an elbow strike.
Cartman lands with a left to the head. Newman gets a trip takedown into half guard. Cartman is trying to stand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Newman is looking to advance position but Cartman won't allow it. Newman stops Cartman from getting back to his feet.
Newman trying to mount his opponent but Cartman defends it. Cartman on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cartman tries to get out of the position. Cartman tries to kick Newman off but Newman keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Cartman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Newman on the ground. Newman works his way into side control. Newman is staying tight to Cartman's torso, preventing him from escaping. Cartman wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Newman working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Newman is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Cartman has escaped the position, nice work there. Newman looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Cartman is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Newman is trying to get an arm triangle but Cartman is defending well. Newman taking a breather here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cartman explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Cartman shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Newman sprawls well. Newman wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cartman gets slowly back to his feet. Newman tries for a takedown but Cartman sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Newman shoots in looking for a takedown. Cartman tries to sprawl out of it but Newman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cartman manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Cartman has Newman up against the cage in a clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Newman drops down looking for an ankle pick but Cartman pulls his leg out and moves away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cartman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Newman's waist but Newman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cartman off to one side. Newman defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Cartman. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Eric Cartman will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Ali Newman's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Newman is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Cartman. Newman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cartman paws at him with a jab and circles away. Some wild striking there from Cartman.
Newman is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Cartman misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Cartman swats away the attempt to clinch by Newman. Cartman misses with a combination
and Newman connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. The fight stays on the outside here - Newman looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Newman tries to clinch there but Cartman circles away.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Newman. Newman fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cartman sprawls well initially but Newman persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cartman is defending against the submission attempts here by Newman.
That's one minute gone in the round. Newman is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Newman seems to be working for a kimura but Cartman defends the submission attempt. Cartman is in trouble now - Newman has advanced to mount! Ali Newman has got the better of the ground game so far. Newman trying to control but he's not successful this time. Cartman trying desperately to get to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Newman jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Cartman manages to avoid the submission attempt. Cartman tries to escape but Newman is in control. Newman wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cartman, who protects the arm well. Newman is trying to get an arm triangle but Cartman is defending well. Cartman is trying to buck Newman off. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cartman is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Newman yanks on the arm and Cartman is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Newman.
