Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Teddy Hartman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mr Eko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 14 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Teddy Hartman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mr Eko!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Dmitry Maklakov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hartman throws a sloppy head kick and Eko moves out of range easily.
Eko fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Hartman swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hartman tries to bum rush Eko with a series of wild strikes but Eko uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Eko shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Eko looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Eko is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Hartman has managed to free his arm - good work.
Hartman manages to get to full guard.

Hartman not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Eko drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hartman manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Eko has Hartman in his guard.
Hartman has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Hartman tries to free his leg and advance position but Eko is retaining full guard.
Hartman controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Hartman gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Eko shoots in for a takedown but Hartman shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Eko closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hartman circles away.

Hartman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Eko avoids it really well and circles away.

Eko feints and as Hartman raises his hands in defense, Eko changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Eko wants to pass the guard but Hartman is keeping the position.
Eko wants to control from the top but Hartman keeps moving.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Eko drops back looking for a leg! Hartman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hartman manages to kick Eko off! Eko jumps back into Hartman's guard.
Hartman wants to stand up but Eko is controlling him.

Hartman looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Eko is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hartman is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hartman has escaped and now he's on top!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hartman won't allow Eko to sweep him here.
Hartman trying to control but Eko is working from the bottom.
Eko wants to improve his position but instead Hartman has moved into half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hartman winds up and cracks Eko with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Eko wants to get back to full guard but Hartman has passed into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hartman clinches up with Eko and pushes him back against the cage.

Eko shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hartman defends it nicely.

Eko shoots in and drives through. Hartman sprawls well.
Eko misses with a takedown
and Hartman connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.


It looks like Mr Eko has been cut.
Eko is breathing heavily.
Hartman throws a left and a right that both miss

and Eko counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Eko seems to be looking for submissions.
Hartman is trying to get back to full guard.
Hartman is holding on to half guard well.

Eko is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hartman doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Eko.

Eko drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hartman dives on top into guard.

Hartman gets to mount! Eko was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Hartman seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Eko bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hartman's guard.
Hartman wants to stand up but Eko is controlling him.

Eko has gone for a leg lock! Hartman slips out almost immediately though and dives into Eko's guard.
Eko is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hartman stands and steps away. Eko gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Eko moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Hartman misses with a looping left.
Eko gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Hartman counters with a left and a right that stings Eko.

Hartman throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Eko.
Eko fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hartman avoids it really well and circles away.

Hartman lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Hartman.

Eko changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hartman looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Eko takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Eko is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hartman has escaped the position, nice work there.

Hartman is trying to buck Eko off.

Eko swings around for an armbar but Hartman sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Eko's guard.
Teddy Hartman is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Hartman stands up and waves to Eko to follow him.
Mr Eko has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Eko slaps away a takedown attempt from Hartman, before circling back to the center of the mat.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Eko shoots in looking for a takedown. Hartman tries to sprawl out of it but Eko keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hartman manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

And that's the end of the fight!
Teddy Hartman showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Hartman has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
