Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alan Mael (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Malcolm Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mael 's entrance music is It's Not All About You. A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Mason's choice of entrance music: Shook Ones Pt. II. Alan Mael has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alan Mael ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Malcolm Mason! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mason connects with a body shot that sends Mael 's belly button to the back. Mason clinches up with Mael and pushes him back against the ropes. Mason manages to break the clinch.
Mael is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mason's half guard. Mason pushes Mael off and gets back to his feet. Some wild striking there from Mason.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mael . Mason throws a shot to the body.
Mael is breathing heavily. Mason misses with the combination.
Mael darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Mason makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Mael takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Mason connects with a body shot. Mason misses with the combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mason closes the distance and pushes Mael back into the ropes. Mason has had enough of the clinch but Mael keeps him there for the moment. Mael keeps control of Mason as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Mael tries to pull guard but Mason won't allow it.
Mason breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mason tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mael was well out of range. Poor timing from Mason. Mael tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Mason manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Mason closes the distance and pushes Mael back into the ropes. Mason is trying to break free. Mason looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Mael has Mason pressed against the ropes, preventing Mason from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Mason is trying to break free. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Mason breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Mason has closed the distance and engaged Mael in a clinch.
Mael putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Mason in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Mason is trying to push Mael away but Mael has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A frustrated look appears on Mason's face as he tries to break the clinch. Mason looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Mason wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Mael has him pressed against the ropes. Mael tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Mason just stands there and leans against the ropes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alan Mael . That's going to take a lot out of him. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mael pulls Mason into guard.
Mason wants to get up but he can't break Mael 's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Mael trying to control the position.
Mason wants to stand but Mael has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Mael trying to keep a closed guard but Mason is proving a slippery customer.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Mason trying to stand up but can't free himself from Mael 's guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Mael looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Mason is defending well. Mael quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Mason has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Mael celebrates on the ropes, with the crowd.
