PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sean McNamara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fro Rogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McNamara comes to the cage accompanied by Massive Attack - Teardrop (House M.D.). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Fro Rogan!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McNamara scores with a nice right hand.

McNamara bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
McNamara gets to mount! Rogan was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

McNamara is working for a guillotine from mount but Rogan frees his head quite easily.
The referee warns Rogan that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Rogan is wriggling around trying to escape.
McNamara sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
McNamara prevents Rogan from getting the reversal.

Rogan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McNamara's waist but McNamara gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rogan off to one side.
Horrible takedown by Rogan or perhaps it was just good defense by McNamara which made him look bad.
McNamara stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

McNamara closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rogan to the mat! Rogan manages to get full guard.

Rogan has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. McNamara is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Rogan.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
McNamara controls the position.

Rogan tries to buck McNamara off but McNamara is having none of it.

Rogan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

McNamara throws a left that rocks Rogan and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! McNamara dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Rogan regain composure!

It looks like Fro Rogan has been cut.
Rogan manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McNamara slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McNamara is looking to stand up but Rogan isn't so interested in that idea.
McNamara wants to sweep here but Rogan controlling him for the moment.

Rogan has gone for a leg lock! McNamara slips out almost immediately though and dives into Rogan's guard.

Rogan had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. McNamara defends it easily.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with McNamara in particular looking to stall.
Rogan should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
McNamara seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Rogan for as long as he can get away with.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Rogan is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but McNamara pulls his head out easily.

McNamara seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

McNamara throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rogan.
Rogan shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Rogan takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
McNamara throws a good cross that connects.
McNamara lands a front kick.
McNamara rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rogan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Rogan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McNamara doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. McNamara manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Fro Rogan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Rogan can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as McNamara controls the pace.
