Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Caleb Wiggins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Franz Uther! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sloppy strikes from Uther. Those never looked like landing. Sloppy strikes from Uther. Those never looked like landing. Wiggins shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Uther pinned against the cage. Uther gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Uther throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wiggins. Wiggins throws a front kick aimed at Uther's knee but Uther avoids it well. Uther avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Uther takes a swing at Wiggins's ribcage but misses. Wiggins shoots in but no luck this time. Wiggins scores with a leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Uther keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Nice takedown defense from Uther. No joy for Wiggins on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Caleb Wiggins. That's going to take a lot out of him. Uther falls off balance throwing a combination
and Wiggins counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Uther shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Wiggins eats them both and turns towards Uther to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Uther loads up on a big right hand but Wiggins slips the punch. Uther scores with a crisp jab that stopped Wiggins in his tracks. Uther connects with a jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Wiggins bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Franz Uther seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Uther lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Uther scores with a jab to the body. Uther lands a left and a right that send Wiggins crashing to the mat, dazed. Uther thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Wiggins is rocked!
It looks like Caleb Wiggins has been cut. Wiggins is breathing heavily. Uther scores with a body shot.
Oh Wiggins is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Wiggins. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Uther moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Uther fails to land with a series of punches.
Wiggins seems to have got his legs back now. Wiggins showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Uther.
Wiggins takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Franz Uther is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Uther lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Good work by Uther as he checks the leg kick. Wiggins wants to clinch. Uther lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Uther. Wiggins walks into a jab. Uther moves into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Uther lands a nice uppercut. A short uppercut from Uther. Uther works on Wiggins's body with a couple of short punches. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Uther throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Uther stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Uther's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Wiggins walks into a left hand. Uther lands the left hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Franz Uther dominated that round. The cut man is working on Caleb Wiggins's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Uther moves into range and clinches up with Wiggins. Uther lands a shot to the body. Uther lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Wiggins pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Uther lands a left and a right that send Wiggins crashing to the mat, dazed. Uther thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Uther lands with a good body shot. Uther ducks down and throws a hook to the body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Uther scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Uther throws a right hand that Wiggins ducks under and follows up with a left that Wiggins also avoids with ease. Franz Uther seems to be getting the better of the standup. Uther lands with an overhand left. Uther connects with a combination that backs up Wiggins into the cage. Uther lands a flurry of punches that gets past Wiggins's guard. Wiggins is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Uther bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Franz Uther!
