Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leland Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chance Boudreaux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Palmer kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Portishead - Roads. Boudreaux has chosen Forsake Not The Dream as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Leland Palmer! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chance Boudreaux! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Emerson Jorge and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Palmer misses with an uppercut. Palmer throws a poor cross that misses
and Boudreaux counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Palmer fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Boudreaux avoids it really well and circles away. Good shot there by Boudreaux. Palmer wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Palmer shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Boudreaux defends it nicely. Leland Palmer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Boudreaux closes the distance and clinches. Boudreaux escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Boudreaux throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Boudreaux fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Boudreaux keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Boudreaux throws a right hand that Palmer ducks under and follows up with a left that Palmer also avoids with ease. Palmer throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
That kick from Boudreaux tenderised Palmer's leg. Palmer is trying to keep his angry face on. Palmer connects with a body shot. Palmer misses with an uppercut. Boudreaux saw that one coming. Palmer feints and as Boudreaux raises his hands in defense, Palmer changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Palmer trying to control the position from guard on top but Boudreaux is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Boudreaux preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Palmer looking to pass the guard. Palmer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Boudreaux looking for a sweep. Not yet Boudreaux, not yet.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Palmer swings for the body but Boudreaux moves out of range.
Boudreaux throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Palmer. Boudreaux goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Palmer shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Boudreaux as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leland Palmer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Boudreaux looks to score with a jab to the body but Palmer is just out of range. Boudreaux lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Palmer misses with an uppercut
and Boudreaux counters with a straight right hand. Boudreaux throws a nice inside leg kick. Boudreaux cracks Palmer with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Palmer moves into range and connects with a jab.
It looks like Chance Boudreaux has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Boudreaux needs to keep his hands up - Palmer had a free shot at his head there. Boudreaux throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Palmer paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Chance Boudreaux is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Palmer digs a good body shot into Boudreaux's ribs. Boudreaux looks gassed! Nice cross by Palmer. Palmer drops Boudreaux with a straight right hand, right on the button! Palmer follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
