Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

4 - 4 - 2, fighting out of Tokyo, John Giles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sub Position!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yuuki Gou and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Giles tries a head kick but it misses.
Giles fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Position on the side of the head.
It looks like Sub Position has been cut.
Position slips a straight right by Giles.
Giles has taken the fight to the clinch.
Giles is trying to break the clinch but Position is controlling him.
Position tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Giles working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Giles makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Giles manages to break the clinch.
Giles scores with a one two! Position had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Position is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Giles throws a big shot that misses.
Position tries for a takedown but Giles sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Giles keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
John Giles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sub Position.
Giles closes the distance and clinches.

Giles escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Position doesn't manage to clinch there - Giles circles away.
Giles forces Position back against the ropes and clinches.
Giles lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Giles escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A swing and a miss from Giles.
John Giles is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Giles fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Position, pushing him back against the ropes.

Giles tries a head kick but it misses.
The fighters circle momentarily. Giles darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Giles drives through and clinches with Position against the ropes.
Giles breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Position closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Position lands in his opponent's guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Giles is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Giles trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Giles knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Position on the ground.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Position advances position into side control!
Giles wants to get back to his feet but Position drags him back down.
Position tries to advance to mount but Giles denies him.
Position tries for a kimura but Giles is defending well.

Giles is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Position has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Position thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Position tries for a kimura but Giles is defending well.
Position tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Position has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Giles explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Position blocks a head kick by Giles.

Giles misses with a looping right.
Position shoots in but no luck this time.
Giles throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Position avoids the body shot from Giles.
Giles moves into the clinch successfully.
Position tries to pull guard but Giles won't allow it.
Giles escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Giles scores with a jab to the jaw.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Giles pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Giles misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Position avoids a punch combination nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Giles dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Sub Position's cut.
That's time! Back to the action!
Giles pushes Position up against the ropes in a clinch.
Giles breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Position throws a sloppy head kick and Giles moves out of range easily.
Giles moves into the clinch successfully.
Giles pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Good exchange - Giles coming out on top.
Giles drops Position with a beautiful combination! Position stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Giles is looking for the KO!
Position is still on wobbly legs! Can Giles finish him?
That has opened up Sub Position's cut even more.

Giles darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Position's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Giles before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). John Giles!
