Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Julius Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Kombat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steel comes to the cage accompanied by Its a Fight. Kombat has chosen GWAR - Immortal Corrupter as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Julius Steel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Juan Kombat!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kombat throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Steel counters with a straight right hand.
Kombat swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Steel avoids the head kick by Kombat.
A combination from Steel does no damage.
Kombat scores with a nice strike.
Kombat needs to keep his hands up - Steel had a free shot at his head there.
Steel misses with a body shot
enabling Kombat to counter with a crisp jab.
Kombat thows a left - swing and a miss!
Steel dodges the punch combination from Kombat.
Steel is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Kombat.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kombat throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Steel lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kombat circles away quickly and effectively.
Kombat is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Steel.
Sloppy strikes from Steel. Those never looked like landing.
Kombat keeps the fight on the outside.
Steel is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Steel defending well as Kombat loads up on a big left hand.
Kombat throws a wild body kick that Steel sees coming a mile off.

Steel gets a clinch.
Kombat is trying to break the clinch but Steel has him pressed against the cage.

Steel seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
Kombat wants to break free but Steel has control.

Kombat breaks the clinch.
Steel swinging wildly here.
Kombat swats away the attempt to clinch by Steel.

Steel darts in and clinches Kombat up against the cage.
Kombat has had enough of the clinch but Steel keeps him there for the moment.
Kombat wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Steel's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Steel gets cracked there but stands up to it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kombat circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kombat throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Steel instigates a clinch.

Steel breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Steel blocks a jab.
Julius Steel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A punch combination from Steel misses.
Kombat will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kombat swats away the attempt to clinch by Steel.
Steel lands a nice hook to Kombat's body. Kombat takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Steel will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kombat keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Steel tries to bum rush Kombat with a series of wild strikes but Kombat uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Steel doesn't manage to clinch there - Kombat circles away.
Kombat misses with a few strikes there.
Kombat ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Steel uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kombat.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Steel scores with a jab. Kombat acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Kombat throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Kombat throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kombat tries to bum rush Steel with a series of wild strikes but Steel uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kombat looks gassed!
Kombat ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Steel moves away.
Steel scores with a shot to the body.
Kombat showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Steel.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kombat on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Kombat slips a straight right by Steel.
Steel misses with a double jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Juan Kombat will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Steel takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Juan Kombat seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Kombat takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Steel misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kombat scores with a nice strike.
Steel is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Kombat throws a nice looking combination but Steel bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kombat throws a wild hook but Steel just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Kombat gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Steel raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Julius Steel!
