Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ubbu Lindo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Oliver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ubbu Lindo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, John Oliver! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Donald Grub and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lindo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Oliver scores with a three punch combo!
It looks like Ubbu Lindo has been cut. A left and a right from Oliver both land. Nice combination. Lindo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Oliver to the mat! Oliver manages to get full guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Lindo stands and throws Oliver's legs to the side, diving into side control. Lindo just content to control the position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lindo advances to mount. Lindo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lindo has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lindo seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Oliver for as long as he can get away with. Lindo looking to finish with strikes here!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Oliver's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Lindo controlling his opponent. Lindo lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Oliver looks gassed! Oliver wants to get back to his feet.
Lindo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref stands the fighters back up because Ubbu Lindo just wasn't active enough. Oliver pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Lindo back to the cage. Oliver follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Lindo shoots in but Oliver avoids the takedown attempt easily. Oliver defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lindo. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ubbu Lindo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Oliver scores with a decent looking hook.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lindo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The referee asks Lindo politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Lindo prefers to stall for the moment though. Lindo looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Lindo is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Oliver will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lindo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Oliver's guard. Lindo controlling from the top position.
We're going to have a standup here because Ubbu Lindo wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Lindo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Oliver defends it nicely. Lindo fails with a takedown attempt.

Oliver pushes Lindo back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Lindo prevents Oliver from breaking the clinch. Oliver trying to stall but Lindo improves his position.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ubbu Lindo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lindo has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Oliver avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. A shot in the inside from Oliver. Oliver wants to break free but Lindo has control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Oliver creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Oliver scores with a knee to the head.

Lindo is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Oliver is trying to break free. Lindo has Oliver pressed against the cage, preventing Oliver from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Lindo is trying to trip Oliver. He has hold of a leg but Oliver is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Lindo persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Lindo slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Lindo pushes down on Oliver's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lindo landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Lindo is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Oliver really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lindo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lindo passes to full mount! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lindo with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Oliver throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. John Oliver has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Oliver lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
