Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Hatton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mia St John (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hatton comes to the cage accompanied by Da Rockwilder by Redman & Method Man. St John has chosen Ring of Fire as his entrance music. Mia St John will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jeff Hatton! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mia St John! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hatton shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Hatton is trying to control. St John wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Hatton trying to mount his opponent but St John defends it. St John is looking to control Hatton's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can St John avoid being mounted? St John is trying to stand back up but Hatton is controlling him
Hatton wants to take a breather but St John is having none of it. Hatton trying to mount his opponent but St John defends it. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hatton connects with a nice short shot to St John's temple. Hatton gets to his feet - back to striking we go! St John shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hatton pinned against the cage. Hatton gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. St John looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hatton is fending him off so far but St John persists. Nope, Hatton circles away and we're back to standing.
That's one minute gone in the round. St John shoots in but no luck this time. Jeff Hatton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mia St John. Hatton scores a takedown into full mount! St John is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Hatton is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, St John has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The referee warns St John that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Hatton fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
St John manages to regain half guard. Good work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! St John on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! St John tries to get to full guard but Hatton has control of the leg. Hatton postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for St John to stand up. Hatton stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hatton wants it to stay on the feet. St John looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. St John tries for a takedown but Hatton circles away easily and Hatton counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hatton. Hatton slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Hatton connects with a couple of short punches. Hatton postures up and lands a big shot to St John's brow. St John trying to control the position.
Hatton postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Hatton drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Hatton seems to have locked his on tight now - St John screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Hatton, as he picks up the win!
