Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hidalgo Montoya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazuyuki Takimoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takimoto comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Instrumental kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hidalgo Montoya! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, Kazuyuki Takimoto! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Paulo Santos and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Montoya connects with a solid leg kick. A good leg kick by Montoya. Montoya will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Montoya defending well as Takimoto loads up on a big left hand. Montoya tried to score with a low kick but Takimoto checks it. Takimoto connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Montoya momentarily.
Takimoto takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Montoya misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Takimoto.

Takimoto takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Montoya throws a leg kick and Takimoto counters with a good low kick that Montoya was not able to check. Takimoto scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Kazuyuki Takimoto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Takimoto looks to land a right hand but Montoya moved out of range. Montoya avoids the body shot from Takimoto.

Montoya avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Montoya throws an overhand right that lands on Takimoto's shoulder, as Takimoto tries to avoid the shot. Montoya smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Montoya moves out of range of the strikes. Montoya fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Takimoto checks it well. Takimoto throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Montoya tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Takimoto is in Montoya's guard. Montoya looking to hit a scissor sweep but Takimoto is one step ahead there. Montoya pulls Takimoto in close to prevent any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Takimoto wants to control from the top but Montoya keeps moving. Montoya keeping full guard, as Takimoto tries to pass. Montoya looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Takimoto pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Montoya is keeping the position for now. Montoya keeping moving, preventing Takimoto from controlling successfully.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Takimoto blocks a leg kick. Excellent takedown into side control there by Takimoto. Montoya is looking for a sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Montoya prevents Takimoto from moving into mount. Montoya defending against the ground and pound. Montoya struggling a bit here. Montoya is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Montoya desperately trying to maintain half guard. Takimoto perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Montoya is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Takimoto's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Takimoto's back! Montoya trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Takimoto doesn't escape. Montoya has the hooks in. Takimoto is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Montoya controlling from the back. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Montoya is hanging on to Takimoto's back as he tries to escape.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Hidalgo Montoya will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Montoya lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Montoya is looking to clinch. Montoya turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Montoya lands with a kick to the temple. Takimoto shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Takimoto fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Montoya manages to avoid it. Montoya fails to land the takedown. Montoya lands with a thumping leg kick.
Takimoto throws a jab but it's blocked by Montoya. Takimoto changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Montoya looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Takimoto wants to control but Montoya is keeping him busy. Montoya struggling a bit here. This has been an exciting period of action! Takimoto thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's one minute gone in the round. Montoya is trying to get back to half guard. Takimoto trying to control the position but Montoya is working away. Montoya can't do much from the bottom here. Montoya stops Takimoto from passing to mount. Takimoto tries to advance position but instead Montoya slips a leg back in to half guard. Takimoto is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Montoya defends it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Montoya gets full guard. Montoya can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Takimoto controls the pace. Takimoto won't allow Montoya to sweep him here. Montoya is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Takimoto trying to control but Montoya is working from the bottom.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Kazuyuki Takimoto wasn't active enough on the ground. Takimoto misses with an uppercut. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Montoya lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Takimoto has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Takimoto and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Montoya - that will leave a mark!

Montoya fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Takimoto has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Takimoto looks for the body kick but Montoya saw that one coming. Montoya tries to land a leg kick but Takimoto saw it coming and moves away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Takimoto. Montoya does a little dance to reset his feet. Montoya fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Takimoto checks it well. A solid leg kick lands there for Montoya.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Montoya connects with an inside leg kick. Takimoto drives through with a takedown into Montoya's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Takimoto wants to control from the top but Montoya keeps moving. Takimoto is breathing heavily. Takimoto looking to sit in guard and control but Montoya gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Montoya stands up from Takimoto's guard - Montoya perhaps looking for a knockout. Montoya throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Takimoto takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Takimoto ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Montoya lands a nice leg kick that just misses Takimoto's sensitive parts. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Hidalgo Montoya will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Montoya throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Takimoto on the side of the head. Takimoto tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Montoya was well out of range. Poor timing from Takimoto. Takimoto looks to score with a jab to the body but Montoya is just out of range. A solid leg kick lands there for Montoya.

Montoya throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Takimoto was covering up waiting for the punch and Montoya finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Montoya trying to control the position from guard on top but Takimoto is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kazuyuki Takimoto has got the better of the ground game so far. Montoya stands and steps away. Takimoto gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Montoya will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Montoya lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Takimoto backwards. Takimoto scores with an uppercut up the middle. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A nice right hand lands inside from Montoya. Takimoto misses with a body punch.

Takimoto tries to work over Montoya's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Takimoto is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Takimoto swings wildly with an uppercut but Montoya uses good head movement to avoid it. Takimoto tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Takimoto. Montoya pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Montoya throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Takimoto working some nice short punches in the clinch. Montoya lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Hidalgo Montoya is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Knees in the clinch landing for Montoya.
Takimoto's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Takimoto tries to pull guard but Montoya holds him up against the cage and eventually Takimoto drops back down to his feet.
Takimoto is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Montoya is keeping busy. With the fighters up against the cage, Montoya throws an elbow but misses. Montoya is pressed up against the cage. Takimoto has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Montoya down to the mat. Montoya avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Hidalgo Montoya has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kazuyuki Takimoto. Takimoto just misses with a punch to the body.
Takimoto looks to land a right hand but Montoya moved out of range. Montoya ducks down and throws a hook to the body. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Takimoto closes the distance and clinches up with Montoya, looking for a takedown. Takimoto pushes Montoya against the cage but Montoya circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Takimoto takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Montoya has closed the distance and engaged Takimoto in a clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Montoya lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Takimoto can't find room to land a body shot as Montoya controls the action.

And that's the end of the fight! Hidalgo Montoya showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Montoya, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Hidalgo Montoya! A very excited looking Hidalgo Montoya rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
