Vegh fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Vegh shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lidell sprawls well. Lidell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Vegh gets slowly back to his feet.

Vegh wants to break the clinch but can't.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Vegh is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lidell knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Lidell is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Vegh can do to turn this around?

Vegh has hold of Lidell's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Lidell tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Vegh cranks the arm and Lidell screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Lidell, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
