Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kratus Pretorian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Genghis Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kratus Pretorian! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Genghis Khan! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pretorian swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A combination from Pretorian does no damage. Kratus Pretorian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pretorian throws a one two combo.

Khan wants to clinch but Pretorian slips to the side and Pretorian counters with a three punch combo that has Khan backing up. Khan nods at Pretorian to acknowledge the strikes. Pretorian throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Pretorian is breathing heavily. Khan fails with the takedown. A punch combination from Khan misses. A jab-cross combination lands for Pretorian and sends Khan crashing to the mat! Pretorian follows him down to the mat - Khan regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

It looks like Genghis Khan has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Khan trying to control here.
Khan is still in real trouble! Can Pretorian finish him? Khan wants to improve his position but Pretorian is controlling well.

We're going to have a standup here because Kratus Pretorian wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Khan shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Pretorian keeps the fight on the outside. Pretorian misses with the combination.
Khan moves into the clinch. Khan blocking some punches.
Pretorian breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pretorian rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Khan moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Pretorian moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Pretorian avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Khan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Khan counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Pretorian is lucky that one didn't land flush. Khan lands with a kick to the temple. Pretorian shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Pretorian throws a nice looking combination but Khan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Pretorian throws a series of punches but Khan avoids them all with ease. Khan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Kratus Pretorian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Genghis Khan. Khan is trying hard to land a takedown here. Pretorian sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Pretorian looks to land a combination but Khan avoids it well. Khan instigates a clinch. Khan goes for a takedown attempt but Pretorian pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Khan shoots in looking for a takedown. Pretorian tries to sprawl out of it but Khan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pretorian manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Khan dives in and scores a takedown into Pretorian's guard. Khan advances to half guard. Pretorian is refusing to be controlled, as Khan sits in half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Khan in particular looking to stall. Khan looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Khan stops Pretorian from getting back to his feet.
Khan is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Khan wants to stand but Pretorian has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Khan is figuring out what he wants to do next. Pretorian taking some punishment here, with Khan in his half guard. Pretorian tries to kick Khan off but Khan keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Khan moves nicely into side control. This has been an exciting period of action! The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Khan controls the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pretorian is trying to escape and get back to his feet. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kratus Pretorian will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Genghis Khan's cut. That's time! Back to the action!

Pretorian throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Oooh a lovely combination from Pretorian sends Khan down but not out. Pretorian dives into side control looking to finish. Khan sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Khan moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Khan manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Khan has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Pretorian's face.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Khan scoring with strikes but Pretorian is staying in there. Khan controlling from mount. Pretorian is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Pretorian on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Pretorian tries to get out of the position. Khan with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Khan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Khan controlling his opponent.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Khan is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Khan with a lazy takedown attempt and Pretorian counters with a three punch combo that has Khan backing up. Khan nods at Pretorian to acknowledge the strikes. Pretorian drops Khan with a left and a right! Oh, Khan is hurt - Pretorian dives into side control looking to finish!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Khan gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Khan regains full guard. Nicely done.

A close second round but Genghis Khan will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Genghis Khan's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

and Khan counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Pretorian's guard now. Khan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pretorian swivels though and keeps the full guard. Khan passes Pretorian's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Khan is looking to take a break and control but Pretorian is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Khan perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Khan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pretorian does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Genghis Khan was stalling too much, according to the referee. Khan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pretorian sprawls well. Pretorian wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Khan gets slowly back to his feet. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Khan is looking to clinch but Pretorian is avoiding it.

Pretorian utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Khan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pretorian as he jumps to the side. No joy there for Pretorian, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kratus Pretorian is winning the standup battle so far. Sloppy strikes from Pretorian. Those never looked like landing. Khan darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pretorian tries to kick Khan off but Khan keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Khan is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Pretorian sees it coming and defends easily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Khan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pretorian does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Pretorian is trying to stand.

And that's the end of the fight! Genghis Khan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Khan has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
