1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Malcolm Evans! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Evans loads up on a big right hand but Miller slips the punch. Miller will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nice takedown defense from Evans. No joy for Miller on that attempt. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Miller. Evans throws a right hand that misses
and Miller counters with a left and a right that stings Evans. Miller lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Evans circles away quickly and effectively. Evans has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Evans throws a right hand that misses

and Miller counters with a thumping low kick. Evans takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Malcolm Evans seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Evans looks gassed! Miller moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Evans missing with a left hand there. Miller was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. and Miller counters with a two punch combo. Miller darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This has been an exciting period of action! Miller is looking to advance position but Evans won't allow it. Miller is controlling the pace.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Evans is bucking up trying to escape but Miller cracks him with another couple of good strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Miller lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Miller postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Evans looks a forlorn figure.
Evans really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Miller. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Miller scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Evans?
Evans takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Miller has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Miller scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Miller postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Evans in real trouble here! The ref calls for Evans to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Clyde Miller! Clyde Miller decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
