Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Billy Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thunder Lips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Glass and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lips shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bob's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Lips stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bob swivels though and keeps the full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lips accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lips wants to control from the top but Bob keeps moving.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bob is on top in guard.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Bob cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Lips has hold of Bob's hands but Bob slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Bob knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lips on the ground.

Lips working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bob doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bob manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Lips dives in and grabs Bob's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bob pushes down on Lips's head and hops out.

Bob has picked Lips up - he's going for a ride! Bob dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Bob is stalling here. Lips is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Bob seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Lips has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Bob throws a series of strikes and Lips wriggles onto his back, so he's now mounted. He's in real trouble here.

Lips wants to hold on but Bob pushes him away.
Billy Bob overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
