Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Peter Finney! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Maxwell Leonard! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Chris Edwards and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Finney swinging wilding here.
Leonard clinches up against the cage. Finney tries to break the clinch but Leonard is controlling the position. Finney can't break the clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. Leonard lands a damaging elbow. Finney wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Leonard has him pressed against the cage. Leonard breaks the clinch.
Leonard dodges the punch combination from Finney.
Leonard throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Leonard has taken the fight to the clinch.
Leonard stops a takedown attempt from Finney.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Finney wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Leonard has him pressed against the cage. Finney jumps guard but Leonard stands there with Finney around his waist. Finney gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Finney is breathing heavily. Finney dodges an elbow strike from Leonard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Leonard lands a nice knee to the body. Finney dodges an elbow strike from Leonard.
Finney fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Peter Finney. That's going to take a lot out of him. Leonard drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A bit of stalling here from Leonard.
Leonard creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Leonard tries for a takedown but Finney manages to get underhooks.
Leonard escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Leonard misses with a hook. Leonard drives through and clinches with Finney against the cage.
Finney wants to get back to striking at distance but Leonard won't allow it.
Finney stops a takedown attempt from Leonard.
Leonard drops down looking for an ankle pick but Finney pulls his leg out and moves away.
Finney throws a right and a left that Leonard avoids nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Leonard shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Finney's guard. Leonard stays in close to Finney's body and controls the position. Leonard advances to half guard. Leonard looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Leonard has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Finney defend it? Leonard steps over the head and cranks it - Finney is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Leonard!
