Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Igor Tatov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Poor Matt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Tatov might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Superunknown. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Poor Matt!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Sergei Dronov and Igor Prikhodko.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matt tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Tatov connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Matt's hands.
A nice inside leg kick there by Matt. That's going to slow Tatov down.
Matt keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Matt lands with a thumping leg kick.
Matt motions for Tatov to come forward. Matt throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Tatov misses with a low kick.
Matt defending well as Tatov loads up on a big left hand.
Matt fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Tatov is out of range.

Tatov lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Matt sprawling to the canvas. Tatov follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Matt hang on?

It looks like Poor Matt has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Tatov lands a nice short elbow.

Tatov is working for a submission of some sort.

Matt is looking to improve his position.
Matt moves into full guard.
Matt is trying to keep Tatov in close.

Matt working a defensive guard but Tatov passes into half guard.
Tatov with the ground and pound but Matt uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Matt wants to stand up but Tatov is controlling him.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Tatov throws a head kick that half lands.

Tatov throws a predictable looking body shot
and Matt counters with a slapping leg kick.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tatov throws a shot to the body.
Tatov throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Matt on the side of the head.
Tatov takes a swing at Matt's ribcage but misses.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Matt throws a leg kick that misses.

Matt forces Tatov back against the cage and clinches.
Matt lands with a left to the head.
Matt misses with a punch on the inside.
Tatov lands a body shot in the clinch.
Matt looks gassed!

Tatov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Tatov throws out a leg kick but Matt moves out of range and Tatov only half commits.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Tatov will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Tatov swings widly with a right hand
and Matt counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Tatov is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Tatov throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Matt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Poor Matt's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Tatov throws an off balance right hand
and Matt makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Tatov throws a hook to the side of Matt's head but Matt sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Matt is looking to slow Tatov down with leg kicks.
Tatov thumps Matt with a low kick.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Tatov here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Tatov misses with a jab to the body
and Matt counters with a good, hard body kick but Tatov shrugs it off.
A swing and a miss from Tatov.
Matt takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Tatov misses with a looping right.
Nice sprawl there from Tatov as Matt shoots in.
Matt moves in looking to clinch but Tatov pushes him off.
Tatov thows a body shot but no joy.
Matt lands with a kick to the temple. Tatov shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Matt shoots in looking for a takedown but Tatov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Matt's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Matt ducks under a wild hook from Tatov.
Tatov just misses with a punch to the body.

Matt looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tatov is fending him off so far but Matt persists. Nope, Tatov circles away and we're back to standing.
Igor Tatov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Poor Matt.

Tatov connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Matt takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Tatov throws a good cross that connects.
Igor Tatov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Tatov drops Matt with a straight right hand, right on the button! Tatov follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
