Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ty Lenol! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Francisco Everardo Oliveira Silva! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Steve Erwin and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lenol closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Oliveira Silva did well to prevent Lenol getting side control. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Oliveira Silva trying to control but Lenol postures up.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Lenol in particular looking to stall. Oliveira Silva is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Oliveira Silva looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Lenol seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Oliveira Silva is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ty Lenol. Oliveira Silva fails to land the takedown. A momentary lapse in concentration from Oliveira Silva enables Lenol to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Oliveira Silva manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Oliveira Silva working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lenol doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lenol manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Lenol trying to control the position from guard on top but Oliveira Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Oliveira Silva can't keep his opponent in guard - Lenol advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Oliveira Silva pushes Lenol off looking to stand but Lenol dives back in and keeps control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lenol is keen to just control but Oliveira Silva is a slippery customer. Lenol slows the pace down in half guard. Lenol stands up and beckons Oliveira Silva to join him on the feet. Lenol closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Lenol prevents Oliveira Silva from improving his position. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Lenol working over Oliveira Silva with some ground and pound. Oliveira Silva looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Lenol controlling the action here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Ty Lenol just wasn't active enough. Oliveira Silva swings widly with a right hand
and Lenol counters with a nice double leg into side control. Oliveira Silva won't be happy with that. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lenol controlling the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lenol darts in and clinches Oliveira Silva up against the cage. Oliveira Silva tries to pull guard but Lenol holds him up against the cage and eventually Oliveira Silva drops back down to his feet.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Lenol. Lenol breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Oliveira Silva wants to get back to striking at distance but Lenol won't allow it.
A shot in the inside from Lenol. Lenol lands a body shot in the clinch.

Lenol pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. No luck for Oliveira Silva with that takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oliveira Silva gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Lenol looking to control the position here, rather than advance. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Oliveira Silva looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ty Lenol wasn't doing enough on the ground. Lenol closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Lenol working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Oliveira Silva being controlled for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lenol wants to control but Oliveira Silva is keeping him busy. Check out the look on Lenol's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Lenol in side control lands a decent elbow. Oliveira Silva struggling a bit here. Lenol decides to stand up, so the ref orders Oliveira Silva to his feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lenol drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ty Lenol dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Oliveira Silva. Oliveira Silva misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Lenol tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Oliveira Silva wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Lenol manages to get back to half guard. Lenol kicks Oliveira Silva off and gets back to his feet. Oliveira Silva swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ty Lenol is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lenol drives through with a takedown into guard. Lenol has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Lenol wanted to stand there but Oliveira Silva had control of the position. Lenol wants to control from the top but Oliveira Silva keeps moving.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Lenol looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Oliveira Silva! Oliveira Silva tries to hold on but Lenol postures up. Lenol lands with some strikes.
