Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Damian Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tasmanian Devil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miller kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Daryle Singletary - Too much fun. Damian Miller could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tasmanian Devil's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Damian Miller! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Tasmanian Devil! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Hugh Johnson and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Devil.
It looks like Damian Miller has been cut. Devil gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Devil being controlled here, momentarily. Devil is looking for a triangle but Miller pushes his legs off easily.
Miller trying to control the position from guard on top but Devil is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Devil not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Devil throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Devil is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Miller is aware though and is defending well. Miller is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Devil keeping full guard, as Miller tries to pass.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller prevents Devil from getting back to his feet. Miller throwing strikes from guard but Devil blocks nicely. Miller trying to control the position from guard on top but Devil is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Damian Miller. Devil changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Miller tries to avoid it but Devil manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Miller to the ground. Miller escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Miller shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Devil manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Devil wants to stand but Miller is controlling the position. Miller throwing strikes but missing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Devil keeping full guard, as Miller tries to pass. Miller trying to control but Devil is working from the bottom. Miller engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Damian Miller just wasn't active enough. Devil stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Devil wants it to stay on the feet. Devil lands a two punch combo.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller closes this distance looking for a takedown but Devil circles away. Devil throws an overhand right that lands on Miller's shoulder, as Miller tries to avoid the shot. Miller shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Devil pinned against the cage. Devil gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Damian Miller. That's going to take a lot out of him. Miller has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Devil stuffs the takedown. Miller throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Devil's waist but Devil gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Miller off to one side. Devil falls off balance throwing a combination
and Miller counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Devil is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Miller has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Miller wants to pass the guard but Devil is keeping the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Devil keeping moving, preventing Miller from controlling successfully. Devil had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Miller defends it easily. Milleris looking to pass into half guard but Devil pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Devil is in guard. Miller keeping moving, preventing Devil from controlling successfully. Devil is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Miller trying to control the position.

That was a close round but I would say that Damian Miller will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Damian Miller's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Miller fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Devil sprawls well initially but Miller persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Miller keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Devil tries to kick Miller off but Miller keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Devil is trying to stand up here but Miller is controlling him well. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Miller in particular looking to stall.

This has been an exciting period of action! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Miller takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
We're going to have a standup here because Damian Miller wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Miller tries to score a power double leg takedown but Devil sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Miller somewhat. Miller shoots in for a takedown but Devil shows good takedown defense. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Devil fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Miller manages to avoid it. Miller tries to close the distance and clinch up but Devil swats him away and circles back towards the center. Devil throws a jab but it's blocked by Miller. Devil throws a left and a right that both miss
and Miller counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Miller lands a shoulder strike. Devil is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Miller is keeping busy. Miller works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Miller won't allow Devil to sweep him here. Miller avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Miller wants to control from the top but Devil keeps moving.

Miller stands and throws Devil's legs to the side, diving into side control. Miller just content to control the position. Devil is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Miller knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Devil on the ground. Miller trying to pass the guard but Devil defending well. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Devil is not content to let Miller control the position.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Devil tries to roll over but Miller keeps him under control. Devil looks like he's trying to stand up.
Devil takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Miller stands up from half guard. Devil throws a series of strikes that have Miller backpedaling.
Tasmanian Devil has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miller has closed the distance and engaged Devil in a clinch.
Miller is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Devil gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Devil tries to score a body lock takedown but Miller shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Miller lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Devil or not. Miller working aggressively here.
Miller is trying to trip Devil. He has hold of a leg but Devil is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Miller persists though and gets the takedown into guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Devil is looking for a triangle but Miller pushes his legs off easily.
Miller passes into half guard. Damian Miller is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Miller content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Devil looking for submissions off his back.
And that's the end of the fight! Damian Miller showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Miller, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
