Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eryk Bartnik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Summer Carpenter and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Person fails with an attempt to clinch.
Person instigates a clinch.
Person misses with the head strike.
Person prevents a takedown attempt there.
Person throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Bartnik blocks it with crossed arms.
Bartnik managing to block the knees to the body from Person.
Person tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Person is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Bartnik is defending well for now.
Person escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Person feints and as Bartnik raises his hands in defense, Person changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Bartnik is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Bartnik is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Person sees it coming and defends easily.

Person preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Bartnik prevents Person from improving his position.
Bartnik wants to take a breather but Person is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bartnik decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Bartnik really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Person stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Person wants it to stay on the feet.
Person looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Person shoots in for a takedown but Bartnik shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Person bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bartnik throws a solid leg kick but Person takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Bartnik.
Bartnik changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Person looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Bartnik thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Bartnik is trying to get an arm triangle but Person is defending well.
Bartnik is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Person has escaped the position, nice work there.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Person tries to buck Bartnik off but Bartnik is having none of it.

Bartnik goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Person has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Bartnik but great work by Person.
Person tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Person wants to get up but he can't break Bartnik's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Person wants to pass the guard but Bartnik is keeping the position.
Bartnik has a closed guard, preventing Person from standing up.

Bartnik is working an open guard so Person takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Person shoots in and drives through. Bartnik sprawls well.
Wesley Person is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bartnik avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
The fight stays on the outside here - Person looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

That was a close second round but I would say that Eryk Bartnik will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Person will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Bartnik up against the cage.

Person manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bartnik on his heels. He'll look to pass Bartnik's guard now, I'm sure.

Person would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Bartnik working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Person doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Person manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bartnik closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Person quickly recovers to half guard.
Person tries to get to full guard but Bartnik has control of the leg.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bartnik is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Person is just riding it out for now. Bartnik eventually gives up the hold.
And that's the end of the fight!
