Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Damien Chang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boki Jarlievski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Jarlievski's choice of entrance music: Under Pressure - 2pac. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Boki Jarlievski! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chang throws a nice looking combination but Jarlievski bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Chang tries to clinch but Jarlievski is having none of it. Jarlievski moves into range and clinches up with Chang. Jarlievski breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Chang shoots in but Jarlievski avoids the takedown attempt easily. Chang throws a looping overhand right but Jarlievski ducks down to avoid it. Chang tries to clinch but fails miserably and Jarlievski counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Jarlievski. Jarlievski manages to break the clinch.

and Chang counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jarlievski!

Chang tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jarlievski paws at him with a jab and circles away. Chang shoots in looking for a takedown but Jarlievski manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Chang's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Jarlievski throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chang's waist but Chang gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jarlievski off to one side. Jarlievski dives in and grabs Chang's left leg, looking for a takedown. Chang pushes down on Jarlievski's head and hops out. Damien Chang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Boki Jarlievski. Chang connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Jarlievski momentarily.

Jarlievski eats them both and turns towards Chang to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Jarlievski rushes Chang and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Jarlievski keeps control of Chang as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Jarlievski is working for takedown but Chang is calmly controlling the position for now. Chang swings away with an uppercut that misses.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jarlievski goes for a takedown attempt but Chang pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Jarlievski has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Chang is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Chang tries to pull guard but Jarlievski won't allow it.

It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jarlievski wants it to stay on the feet. Jarlievski shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Chang but Chang pushes him off and we're back to square one. Damien Chang has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Boki Jarlievski is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Jarlievski throws a nice looking combination but Chang bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
