The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut lands for Mendez. That snapped Podge's head back.
Nice takedown defense from Mendez. No joy for Podge on that attempt.
Mendez cracks the inside of Podge's front leg.
Good exchange - Mendez coming out on top.


It looks like Drew Podge has been cut.
Mendez moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Podge looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mendez is fending him off so far but Podge persists. Nope, Mendez circles away and we're back to standing.

Podge walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Good leg kick by Mendez there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Mendez connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Mendez bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Mendez moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Mendez connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Podge's hands.


Podge is rocked!
Mendez cracks Podge with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Podge is still on wobbly legs! Can Mendez finish him?
Mendez catches Podge with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Podge forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
