The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mitchell takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Mitchell looks to clinch
and Maurer counters with a nice leg kick.
Mitchell tries a head kick but it misses.
Mitchell shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Maurer counters with a nice low kick that buckles Mitchell's knee momentarily.
Crunch! Maurer slams his shin into Mitchell's torso.
Mitchell looks gassed!

Maurer scores with a head kick.
Maurer thumps Mitchell with a low kick.
Maurer will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Maurer fakes the leg kick and cracks Mitchell in the body.
Maurer pushes Mitchell away with a front kick.
Lucas Maurer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Maurer feints and then cracks Mitchell's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Mitchell down.
Mitchell takes a kick to the side of the head.
Maurer fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Maurer connects with a leg kick. Mitchell looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Maurer throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
An inside leg kick lands from Maurer.

Mitchell has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Maurer.
Maurer lands with a kick to the temple. Mitchell shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Maurer circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Mitchell drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Maurer follows Mitchell to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
