Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tom Bagger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Morris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morris has chosen Warriors as his entrance music. Rob Morris has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tom Bagger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rob Morris! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Lou da Vinci and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morris darts in and clinches Bagger up against the cage. Morris breaks the clinch.
Bagger has a takedown stuffed. Morris tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bagger paws at him with a jab and circles away. Bagger closes the distance and clinches up with Morris, looking for a takedown. Bagger pushes Morris against the cage but Morris circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Bagger staying out of range there. Bagger will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tom Bagger. That's going to take a lot out of him. A jab from Morris misses. Morris drives through and clinches with Bagger against the cage.
Bagger goes for a takedown in the clinch but Morris prevents it.
Bagger decides to pull guard. Bagger is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Bagger is looking for a triangle but Morris pushes his legs off easily.
Morris wanted to stand there but Bagger had control of the position. Morris trying to control but Bagger is working from the bottom. Morris stopping the sweep attempt from Bagger. Morris wants to stand but Bagger is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bagger wants to sweep but no luck.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Morris throws a hook but Bagger blocks it. Morris looks to land a left hand but Bagger moved out of range nicely. Morris clinches up with Bagger and pushes him back against the cage. Morris gets underhooks to prevent Bagger's takedown attempt.
Morris landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Bagger tries for a takedown but Morris manages to get underhooks.
Bagger is breathing heavily. Morris landing knees to the body.
Bagger fails to pull guard.
Morris escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bagger scores with a takedown into Morris's guard. Morris wants to get back to his feet but Bagger is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Morris pushes Bagger off and gets back to his feet.
Bagger shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Morris closes the distance and clinches. Bagger has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Morris clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Bagger tightening his grip on Morris, looking for the choke. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Bagger's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bagger lands a shot to the body. Bagger is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Morris knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Morris for a finish. Bagger is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Morris won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Bagger off his unconscious opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Tom Bagger!
