Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nicky slund (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bachus Gaylord (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). slund comes to the cage accompanied by clash. Bachus Gaylord will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gaylord blocks a head kick by slund.
Nicky slund seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gaylord shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with slund but slund pushes him off and we're back to square one.

It looks like Bachus Gaylord has been cut.
Gaylord is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Gaylord tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. slund just stands there and leans against the cage.
Gaylord jumps guard but slund stands there with Gaylord around his waist. Gaylord gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Nicky slund has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bachus Gaylord.
