Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Rios (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mandy Brandy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brandy is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Protect ya neck. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brandy swats away the attempt to clinch by Rios.
Brandy misses with a few strikes there.
Brandy looks to land a combination but Rios avoids it well.
Brandy avoids the head kick by Rios.
Rios lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Rios moves into the clinch.
Brandy blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Brandy fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Rios swings wildly with an uppercut but Brandy uses good head movement to avoid it.
Brandy wants a takedown but no success here.
Rios tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Rios tries to work over Brandy's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Rios throws a punch but it's blocked by Brandy.

Brandy jumps guard but Rios stands there with Brandy around his waist. Brandy gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Rios creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Brandy pulls guard effortlessly.
Brandy has his foot on Rios's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rios works his way back into a safe position though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Brandy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rios doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rios manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brandy is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Rios is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Rios got a little sloppy there for a moment and Brandy has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rios has managed to get both his arms back between Brandy's legs - danger averted.
Brandy wants to sweep here but Rios controlling him for the moment.
Rios avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Brandy throws his legs up looking for a submission but Rios uses it to pass to side control.

Rios throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Brandys head.
Rios tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Brandy jumps guard and drags Rios to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Brandy wants to hit a switch here but Rios passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Brandy there!

Brandy keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Rios knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brandy on the ground.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Rios content just to control the position here.
Brandy wants to hold on but Rios pushes him away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brandy is trying to escape the mount.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Brandy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rios moves away.
Brandy throws the left hand but Rios avoids the punch easily.

Brandy tries to keep at a distance but Rios has taken the fight into the clinch.
Rios digs a right hand underneath Brandy's ribcage. Brandy let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Rios is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
