Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rodimus Prime (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taavetti Merimies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Merimies has chosen Turbonegro - Sailor man as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rodimus Prime! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Taavetti Merimies! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Merimies scores with a jab. Merimies jabs at Prime's body. Merimies lands with a nice body punch. Merimies throws a combination that misses and Prime counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Prime. Merimies manages to break the clinch.
Merimies throws a shot to the body.
Prime showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Merimies.
Prime shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Merimies sprawls well. Merimies wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Prime gets slowly back to his feet. Merimies tests Prime's chin there with a solid looking shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Merimies rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Prime moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A left and a right from Merimies both land. Nice combination.
It looks like Rodimus Prime has been cut. Prime fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Good exchange - Merimies coming out on top. Merimies lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Merimies missing with a left hand there. Prime was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Prime has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Merimies finds it's way round the side to connect with Prime's head.
Prime is rocked! Prime avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Merimies scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Merimies scores with a jab. Merimies slaps away a takedown attempt from Prime, before circling back to the center of the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rodimus Prime. That's going to take a lot out of him. Prime misses with a takedown attempt and Merimies counters with a nice uppercut. Oh Prime is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Prime is breathing heavily. Prime shoots for a double leg takedown but Merimies sprawls well. He's pushed Prime's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Prime seems to have got his legs back now. Merimies throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Prime's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Merimies dives in looking to finish as Prime flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Merimies's strikes! Merimies is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Prime's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Prime was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
