Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sam Son (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Helio Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Sam Son has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sam Son! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Helio Gracie! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Son misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gracie throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Son stuns Gracie with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Son swings for the body but Gracie moves out of range.
Gracie misses with a double jab.
Nice jab there from Son. Son is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gracie. Gracie throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Son. Gracie showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Son.
Son tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gracie was well out of range. Poor timing from Son. Son lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. No joy there for Son, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gracie drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Son looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Son working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Gracie. Gracie throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Son works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Gracie has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Son is adopting a defensive guard. Gracie trying to control but Son is working from the bottom. Gracie with a nice head shot there. Son keeping moving, preventing Gracie from controlling successfully. Gracie is looking to work some ground and pound but Son has wrist control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Son preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Son is adopting a defensive guard. Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Son swivels though and keeps the full guard. Son manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Son is looking to work his way around to Gracie's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position. Gracie tries to hold on but Son pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Gracie tries to lock up and control but Son gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Son wants to get back to his feet but Gracie is holding on tight.
Gracie is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie is trying desperately to improve position. Son is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gracie gets back to half guard. Gracie slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Son working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Gracie is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Son got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gracie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Son has managed to get both his arms back between Gracie's legs - danger averted. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Helio Gracie will probably get the nod. That's time! Son's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Gracie throws a right and a left that both miss. Son lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gracie circles away quickly and effectively. Son clobbers Gracie with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Gracie avoids the body shot from Son.
Son misses with a double jab.
Gracie takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Son scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Son rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gracie moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Son lands a right hook to the body.

Gracie throws a series of punches but Son moves out of range. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A combination from Son does no damage. Sam Son is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's one minute gone in the round. Son punishes Gracie's body with a nice straight punch. Gracie listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Gracie throws a right and a left that both miss. Gracie throws a right hand that Son ducks under and follows up with a left that Son also avoids with ease. Son jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Sam Son is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Son slips a jab and a cross from Gracie.
Son throws a series of punches but Gracie moves out of range. Son throws a nice looking combination but Gracie bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. A punch combination from Gracie misses. Son works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Son punishes Gracie's body with a nice straight punch. Gracie is breathing heavily. A left and a right from Son both land. Nice combination.
Gracie is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Son lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Gracie is still on wobbly legs! Can Son finish him? Son misses with a series of wild punches.
Son throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Gracie on the side of the head. Son cracks Gracie with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Gracie tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Son pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Gracie is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sam Son! Our winner, Sam Son, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
