Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Stevie Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zaq Wu Sang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reyes comes to the cage accompanied by All the Above. Wu Sang has chosen Europe - Rock the Night as his entrance music. Stevie Reyes has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Stevie Reyes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Zaq Wu Sang! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Damien Edna and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reyes misses with a double jab.
Zaq Wu Sang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sloppy strikes from Reyes. Those never looked like landing. Reyes swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Wu Sang slips under a jab. A looping hook to the body misses from Wu Sang. Reyes does a little dance to reset his feet. Wu Sang misses with a hook to the body
and Reyes counters with a nice body shot. Reyes's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Reyes duly obliges. Reyes keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Wu Sang. Wu Sang keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Reyes ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wu Sang moves away. Wu Sang tries to clinch up but Reyes circles away and keeps his distance.

Wu Sang keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Reyes. Reyes throws a series of punches but Wu Sang moves out of range. Reyes feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Wu Sangs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Reyes misses with a body shot.

Wu Sang scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Reyes throws a combination that misses and Wu Sang counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Reyes thinking. Wu Sang gets the takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Reyes is letting Wu Sang control him for a moment. Wu Sang scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Reyes to see if he's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here as Wu Sang stalls from top position. Reyes tries to bench press Wu Sang off him but Wu Sang keeps the position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wu Sang taking a breather here. Reyes tries to get back to half guard but can't. Reyes is pushing Wu Sang's head away, looking to escape. Wu Sang manages to hold on to the position though. Wu Sang lands an elbow. Reyes is trying to control Wu Sang's posture but Wu Sang avoids it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wu Sang remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Reyes on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Reyes tries to get out of the position. Wu Sang blocks the strikes from Reyes.
Wu Sang wants to lay and pray for a moment but Reyes keeps working. Reyes tries to escape but Wu Sang is in control. Wu Sang is staying tight to Reyes's torso, preventing him from escaping. Wu Sang lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Reyes tries to bench press Wu Sang off him but Wu Sang keeps the position. Wu Sang is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Reyes will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. It looks like Wu Sang might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reyes tries to improve position but can't. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Reyes is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Wu Sang asserts his dominance and retains side control. Wu Sang is chipping away with strikes.
Wu Sang remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Wu Sang wants to lay and pray for a moment but Reyes keeps working. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. You can see the frustration on Reyes's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. And thats the end of the round the fighters go back to their corners.

Reyes bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Wu Sang's head backwards. Reyes feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Wu Sangs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Wu Sang shoots in looking for a takedown but Reyes manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wu Sang's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. The fight stays on the outside here - Wu Sang looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Stevie Reyes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reyes clobbers Wu Sang with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Wu Sang ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Reyes misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Wu Sang.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Wu Sang has Reyes pressed against the cage, preventing Reyes from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Wu Sang has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Reyes avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Wu Sang taking a breather. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. And thats the end of the round the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Stevie Reyes will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Reyes looks to land a right hand but Wu Sang moved out of range. Wu Sang ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Reyes moves away. Wu Sang avoids a punch combination nicely.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Wu Sang misses with a shot to the kidneys.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wu Sang has Reyes pressed against the cage.
Reyes wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Wu Sang's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reyes wants to get back to striking at distance but Wu Sang won't allow it.
Reyes looking to slow down the pace here. Wu Sang goes for a takedown attempt but Reyes pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Wu Sang drops his hands momentarily and Reyes takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Stevie Reyes is winning the standup battle so far.

Reyes scores with the left hand. Wu Sang knows he should have avoided that one. Wu Sang is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Reyes swinging wildly here.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Stevie Reyes. I think Reyes has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
